StressFree Webmin theme version 1.84 released

Version 1.84 of the StressFree Webmin theme is available for download from here.
This update addresses a few different issues:

  • Long drop-down menus now have scroll bars instead of moving off screen.
  • Improved Internet Explorer 6 & 7 compatibility.
  • New icons for the PHP, LDAP Client, Dovecot and Multi Router Traffic Grapher modules.

The new drop-down menus with scroll bar

If long drop-down menus do not annoy you and you do not use Internet Explorer then this upgrade is not really necessary. For those of you who have found one or both of these things to be an issue then you will probably find this upgrade worthwhile.

There has been a number of code and CSS changes in this release so if you encounter a problem please get in touch or leave a comment on the primary Webmin Theme page.

StressFree Webmin theme version 1.83 released

This is a small release which fixes a display bug in the theme when applied to versions of Webmin > 1.300. It adds no extra functionality and for users experiencing no display issues then the upgrade is certainly not required. It can be downloaded from here.

StressFree Webmin theme 1.82 released

I have updated the Webmin theme to version 1.82 today. This release addresses issues with running Webmin behind an Apache (or similar) proxy.

There were a few instances in the theme were absolute hyperlinks were used instead of referencing the Webmin subdirectory parameter. If you are not running Webmin behind a proxy then this update will not effect you, however as this update may resolve proxy and VirutalMin related issues it is probably worthwhile updating if you are experiencing the occasional weird error.

StressFree Webmin 1.81 theme released

I finally had some free time over the weekend to work on the Webmin theme to take into account feedback and problems raised by people. Version 1.81 can be downloaded from here:

Wrapup of previous Webmin version features/changes

This information is just for posterity so that if you are interested you can see what has changed with the theme lately:

Version 1.80 added a few icons to a couple of modules (Syslog-NG/MIME Type Programs).

Version 1.79 utilises the Prototype/script.aculo.us Javascript libraries instead of my basic home grown ones. A bonus of this is that keyboard navigation of search results is now possible (very cool).

Version 1.78 fixes an issue with module specific onload html events not being executed.
Specifically this effected the html email editor in Usermin which now works as expected.

Webmin theme updated

This evening I added more fonts to the webmin theme and fixed a few more display bugs. The latest version can be downloaded from here. So far it is pretty popular with over 700 downloads this month and lots of good feedback coming in.

Webmin 'Tiger' theme updated

Over the last few days I have recieved a number of bug reports for the Tiger webmin theme.
Tonight I sat down and squashed most of the graphical issues and added a few more icons. There is still a few issues left to resolve in the theme (and more icons to add). If you notice any graphical bugs please contact me with the problem.

The updated theme can be downloaded from here.

Webmin theme close to completion

The ability to control a server remotely using a friendly web-based GUI is very handy. Novell makes some fairly nice web-based management tools but the same cannot be said for Linux. Webmin exists but I have always been put off by the fact it all looks like it was put together in the early 90's by someone who was in the process of going blind. Recently there have been some more cleaner themes out for it but still nothing to write home about. So to fill in the time and try out some cool new things and brush up on my poor Perl skills I have put together my own, far more tasteful theme for Webmin.
